Sending A Save The Date AnnouncementIf you’re planning a destination wedding or you have a lot of out-of-towners coming into the neighborhood, it’s always a good idea to send a save the date announcement. A save the date announcement will ensure that guests can plan accordingly for their trip. For destination weddings, it’s a good idea to send a save the date announcement to everyone on your guest list anywhere from four to six months before your wedding date. That will give them time to plan for things like vacation days and booking airplane flights. Similarly, if you have a large percentage of guests traveling from other towns to come to your wedding, also give them about four to six months notice by sending save the date announcements. For a local wedding where guests reside in the area, there’s no need to send save the date announcements.
