June 11, 2010, Newsletter Issue #223: Mailing Your Photo Cards

Tip of the Week

Photo Christmas cards are a great marketing tool, especially if you want to showcase your new business location or sales staff. It’s easy to compose a few well-lit pictures, choose the most attractive of the bunch and write up a simple holiday message of good cheer to your customers and business associates. You may wish to invest in a large batch of photo cards, but if your budget is tight, you can free up some additional cash for the print job simply by timing your mailings over the holidays. After all, who says you have to mail a set of photo Christmas cards out in a separate batch?

You can always include a holiday card in a mailing you’ve already got planned. This will save you postage on your holiday photo cards, and you can tuck an extra picture or a promotional coupon into the envelope as an extra plus. If you include your holiday cards in your next mailing, be sure to package the cards as if you were mailing them separately—insert the cards into the envelopes and seal them. This protects your photo cards from damage and gives your recipient the same experience as if they had gotten them in the post all by themselves. Don’t forget to include holiday cards in the packages you plan to hand-deliver to nearby associates, too!
