November 27, 2009, Newsletter Issue #196: Address Labels for After the Wedding

Tip of the Week

If you’re planning a wedding, don’t forget to order a batch of new personalized address labels featuring your new last name or new hyphenated name. Chances are you’ll need to order a new set of cheap address labels anyway—your wedding invitations will eat up a large amount of those old personalized address labels and you may even run out before your invitations are all sent. Are you changing addresses along with your last name? If you time your order just right, you could wind up getting your newly updated address labels just in time to send out your first round of mail from your new home.
Be sure to give the printer enough time to complete the job and mail the new personalized address labels back to you—especially if you anticipate needing more labels for your old address to put on those wedding invitations. You can always order a smaller quantity of labels for your current address, just enough to get you through the wedding invitation mailing. Don’t forget to order enough labels to put on your thank-you cards after the honeymoon, whether you’re still at the old location or settling in to a new address. All those invites and thank-you's can add up, but if you order at least the same number of labels for the thank you cards as you needed for the invitations, you should have enough to get through the bulk of your post-wedding mailing needs.
