November 20, 2009, Newsletter Issue #195: Photo Keychains as a Special Event Keepsake

Tip of the Week

Photo keychains are a great, inexpensive way to add a memento or keepsake to a special occasion like a graduation party or bar mitzvah. The photo keychain is perfect for these occasions because choosing the image is fairly simple—you have a single person to recognize and it's just a matter of getting the right image. Putting group photos on a photo keychain is trickier because depending on the photo, you may have trouble identifying individual faces. A single person's image, on the other hand, can be easily identified on the keychain. You want to use a clear, easily recognized image.
Picking the image is simple as long as you have a good collection of large, clear images. Some people are tempted to use photos of people taken in group shots and simply crop out the group, but photo keychains look much better when the photos are of a single individual. When cropping people out of those group shots, chances are you may still be able to see an elbow or the side of someone else's face. When you choose the image for your photo keychains, don't forget to digitally edit the picture to include some text commemorating the date or choose the text option when you order the keychain. Either way, you want to add just enough text to include the special occasion title and date.
